RULES AND PRACTICES
From 1956, the major players from different member countries of the European Union met to establish the initial rules of the potato trade. Today, the rules and practices of the Inter-European trade in potatoes (RUCIP) are regularly updated by members of the European Union for the Wholesale Trade in Potatoes (EUROPATAT) Congress. They govern the vast majority of international trade in the market.
